I pulled our last 10k market orders and compared each quote vs what filled onchain:
- 21% filled better than the quote. positive slippage goes back to the user
- 46% filled at the exact amount quoted. 0.00% slippage
- 33% slipped, but only 2.7% by > 1%; pretty good for mostly long-tail memes
TLDR
- you don't get rekt trading on Definitive
- you often make money on the fill

wondering how apps who can't get market orders filling with high success are going to get limit orders working any time soon.
one thing i know for sure is the solution shouldn't be to jack up slippage to 45%. this converts the app's technical shortcoming into financial damage for your end users.
default slippage on @DefinitiveFi is a magnitude less than fomo at 5% (it used to be even lower at 1% but users actually complained lol).
