The Sixers have about $1.8m in space under the hard cap. They'll be able to fit a pro-rated minimum into that space sometime in December. They'll have to make due until that point (unless they waive Jabari Walker and his partially guaranteed deal, but Walker played well tonight.)
Point of clarification: If the Ariel Hukporti injury is worst case scenario, and even if Sixers get a Disabled Player Exception as a result, they still would not be able to exceed the first apron, which is a hard cap b/c they used the full, non-tax MLE. The DPE does not clear space under the hard cap.
