There’s a good chance your open source model is costing more than the frontier. Cheap tokens ≠ cheap tasks. Here, we introduce Intelligence Density, and Density Aware Training, our post-training technique to achieve less wasted compute, better learning, all with no knobs to tune. Enabled by default in every Trajectory model.

Routing is now built in to the @linear coding agent. It can automatically pick the right the model (Claude/Codex/Open source/more soon) for the task. The Switzerland of coding agents
New: Adaptive routing Linear coding agent can now automatically select the right model for each issue. Save time and tokens by routing simpler tasks to a faster model, while using the default reasoning model for more complex work.

The startup tool stack is growing/shifting every month. We asked founders that value design what they use for data, marketing, design, engineering, infra, finance, etc. Basically if you were starting from zero today what tools do you turn to? While we do this for our founders I figure this can also be useful to anyone starting something today so here’s a public version of the recommendations - startuptoolstack.netlify.app… Also, any mission critical tools you use we missed??

Getting a patent is often slow, opaque, and wildly expensive. For a first-to-file system, any delay poses risks for founders. @fearnlegal is changing that. They're building a modern patent firm that combines flat fees and multi-day turnarounds with a team of Big Law experts and PhDs. @jackieberardo on why we're backing Fearn: designerfund.substack.com/p/…
Today, we're killing the billable hour for patent work. Fearn Legal (@fearnlegal ) is a modern patent firm built from the ground up on our own operating system, FearnOS. What that means: → Flat fees, not hourly billing → Drafts in days, not months → Experienced patent attorneys reviewing every application → One platform for your entire portfolio, with permissions you control If you're building something worth protecting, we'd love to help.

This @designerfund video with @lil_dill and some of our amazing designers talking about how design at Stripe is totally changing with AI + prototyping. it's is great internal peek at how we're working differently now. Featured in here is the prototyping tool I've been chipping away at, protodash, which gives designers + PMs the same superpowers that AI is giving to engineers. piped.video/watch?v=JKc2J8Th…

Y'all go read this during your lunch or something. Never been part of such an amazing design team.
“We don’t want to let the quality bar slip just because we’re shipping more and faster. It just became a question of designing a system to enable that at this newer scale.” Excited to share our latest case study with the @Stripe design team! They gave us a behind-the-scenes look at tools they’ve built across product, brand, and content that allow them to do Stripe-level work at an incredible velocity. AI also clearly lets more people there participate in shipping great product, lets designers go way broader in their explorations, and even lets designers/engineers do work that simply wasn’t possible before AI (wait 'till you see how their brand team uses AI) Thanks @lil_dill and team for showing us what embracing AI effectively can look like! 0:00 – How AI is changing design at Stripe 1:48 – Using ProtoDash for high-fidelity prototyping 4:52 – Maintaining Stripe’s voice at scale with Dante 8:03 – Designing Stripe Press book covers 9:45 – Why now is a creative renaissance

We went inside @stripe’s design team to understand how they work and how they’ve built a culture of experimentation while keeping the quality bar high. Some of the answers: dedicated “AI-cation” days, shared tools like ProtoDash and Dante, smaller “roof shots” before moonshots, and leaders getting back into the tools. These systems help the team move quickly without mistaking speed for quality. As @lil_dill asks: “Would I be proud if it took me two weeks to get here?” Lots of practical ideas for designers and design leaders in our latest case study: designerfund.substack.com/p/… Watch on YouTube: piped.video/watch?v=JKc2J8Th…
