Formula E just rebuilt its entire brand identity, and told the agency to "blow up the old one and start again."
Here's the interesting part for anyone in branding: they didn't design a logo. They designed equipment.
The identity has to perform across a street circuit, a phone screen, a broadcast overlay, a video game, and a sponsor's booth, all at once. A "Turbo Mode" italic typeface for speed. A 30-degree icon built for forward motion.
When a sport sells across 6 channels, the logo isn't a badge anymore. It's infrastructure.
