🚨 APP FOUNDERS: I was going to sell my app to Evelin Herrera / EHVM. I've backed out. You need to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL before signing ANYTHING with them. I normally don't post stuff like this but I feel like I have to share my experience with Evelin / EHVM because I believe other founders need to be extremely careful before signing anything with them. I reached out to Evelin myself about potentially selling my app. Everything seemed normal until I received the contracts. A few things happened after that: • Thankfully I know a lawyer and I sent him the agreements. He told me under no circumstances to sign them. He described the contract as “reprehensible” and “predatory.” • I reached out to multiple credible founders/people in the app space who shared similar experiences and warned me against moving forward. People have told me she tries to sneak predatory things into contracts, make people sign NDAs and then breaks them herself, and more. • Several details surrounding the deal and paperwork simply didn’t add up. And most importantly the contract was straight up predatory. She thought I was some stupid kid she could take advantage of. After seeing everything, I ended discussions before signing anything or even sending back redlines. Sharing this because I came close to moving forward, and I don’t want another founder to do the same without doing serious diligence first. I have the contracts and receipts to back up everything above.
