Cannon DeVries continues to be a pleasant surprise and weapon for BYU. Defensively he's tied for the team-high with 14 tackles as starting nickelback. Second in TFLs w/ 3. He has exactly 100 kick return yards and 100 punt return yards. 1 KOR TD. Third on the team behind Martin & Glasker in all-purpose yards/game, 66.7. #32 is making plays in every game on D & ST.

Cannon DeVries is a PLAYMAKER. He’s been arguably the best surprise for BYU and is quickly becoming one of my favorites on the roster. That 4th down tackle to stop Arizona an inch short may have saved the game in the 4th quarter. And his kick return in week 1 was poetry in motion. It appears this is just the beginning for Cannon. The Cougs are in great hands when 32 is on the field. Opponents are not.

Cannon ball: through two games, safety Cannon DeVries leads BYU in total tackles, with 10 (five solo). He has added a pass break-up on defense, and has 173 of BYU's 183 kickoff/punt return yards (2nd to LJ Martin in all-purpose yardage).
