DO NOT LET SOMEONE ELSE WRITE YOUR STORY!!!
Every game presents a choice.
You can wait for someone else to notice your hard work.
You can let a coach, a scout, or an opponent decide what youāre capable of.
You can sit back and hope your stats do all the talking.
Or you can step up and take control of your own narrative.
Too many young athletes confuse self-advocacy with bragging. They hesitate. They stay quiet. They let self-doubt settle in.
But thereās a critical truth every player needs to understand:
Self-advocacy isnāt bragging... itās leadership.
If you don't define your value in this game, someone else will define it for you.
When you learn to track your progress, speak about your effort with clarity, and ask for the opportunities youāve earned, you stop waiting for permission. You become a standard-setter.
Those lessons donāt disappear when the uniform comes off.
Someday the table youāre sitting at wonāt be a dugout. Itāll be a job interview, a boardroom, or a team meeting. The same principles will still matter.
Are you articulating your worth?
Are you tracking your own growth?
Do you speak up when itās time to step into a bigger role?
Do you let hesitation give someone else the power to rewrite your story?
We arenāt just developing softball players.
Weāre helping develop young women who understand self-advocacy, confidence, communication, and what it means to lead their own lives.
Donāt let someone else write your story... step up and own your narrative.
Better you. Better them.
