I bought a fan like this but it doesnt keep the ball up in the air.. it shoots it out and away... Am I missing something? I am sure it is user error

We did @mchamberlainPEโs Top Pickle game with 3-5 today. The video shows a kindergarten class rolling pellet balls toward the hoops under the net to earn the money. The rest of the afternoon played Top Pickle practicing the underhand serve.
