My mother-in-law stayed with us for 6 days and I think she left my house hating me. On her first day, she noticed a woman came every morning to cook for us. She asked why I couldn't cook for my husband myself so I told her I work from home and I personally pay the woman from my salary. The next day, she saw our laundry man come for the clothes she was so angry & she told me i was too lazy to wash my husband’s clothes with my bare hands. By the fourth day, she had also discovered that I pay a cleaner to come twice a week. She complained to my husband that I was becoming lazy and that a young wife shouldn't have people doing everything for her that a 2-bed apartment isn’t hard to sweep. My husband told her he was fine with the arrangement and that I paid for most of it myself. She got even more upset. The next morning, she woke up early and started sweeping, washing plates and cleaning the kitchen herself. I tried to stop her but she told me to leave her so i just raised my leg on the dinning table 😂 and watched her work, she looked irritated by that. That afternoon, she packed her things and left. It's been almost 8 months and she doesn't call me or pick my calls, but she still talks to her son. My husband says I should leave her alone, but I still feel bad about how everything ended. Did I actually do anything wrong? is it wrong to outsource house chores that distract me from work?
