Sacramento’s one-party machine gave us the highest gas and grocery prices in America while Becerra stands ready to do more of the same. Cancel high-speed rail, make your first $150k tax-free, get $3 gas — ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

CA Democrats just passed SB 1359 as they advance their INSANE plan to BAN all natural gas appliances in every home! If the ban is imposed, experts warn it will cost the average homeowner $30K in retrofit costs to remove gas and convert to all-electric appliances.  WATCH:

When the entire economy is based upon this arms race the incentives are completely out of whack to prevent psychopathic leaders from running us into Armageddon. A brave choice to resign but we need more of these types of people to be funded to the antidote. I’m not sure of the answer but these signals can’t be ignored wholesale.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

No candidate for higher office should be able to avoid public debates. A minimum of three should required for any and all candidates in order to be on the ballot.
“Every time you pass a law, you take away freedom.” Beautifully put. Banning tires, Becerra telling you when you can do your laundry or charge your phone, crushing small businesses with insane regulations...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! A special day yesterday in Little Saigon, San Jose.

On day one we cancel this failed high-speed rail project and put every dollar straight into a working-class tax cut—your first $150,000 tax-free. That’s how we stop the waste and start delivering real relief for the people who actually live here.

You can’t hate the anti-American corrupt @CAgovernor and his demon party enough. Free speech is the only guarantee we have to stop tyranny and once again these gaslighting @DNC mafiosos ignore the will of rationale freedom loving citizens and independents
BREAKING UPDATE! Gov. Gavin Newsom just SIGNED the "Stop Nick Shirley Act" (AB 2624) into law! A completely unconstitutional attack on free speech!

⚡️AI makes means abundant. Ends become the bottleneck. Most humans have been trained their entire lives to solve assigned problems. School gives the question. The employer gives the objective. The market gives the career ladder. Software gives the interface. AI destroys the premium on solving assigned problems. The person who can formulate the right problem acquires enormous leverage. That is why a million people with the same frontier model will produce wildly unequal outcomes. They will possess nearly equal access to machine intelligence while differing radically in objective selection, courage, reality contact, timing, and ability to close feedback loops. The future elite will therefore look strange by old standards. They may possess fewer traditional technical skills because the machine carries those. Their defining capacity will be direction. Knowing where to point intelligence. Knowing when reality has answered. Knowing what deserves another iteration and what deserves death. Knowing which possibility among a million should become real. That is the underlying law: When creation becomes abundant, selection becomes sovereign. And eventually the competitive advantage compresses into one question: Who can make reality reveal the truth fastest, then act on it before everyone else?
If everyone can build with AI, what becomes the new competitive advantage?

AI agentic Internet traffic will obviously VASTLY exceed human usage. Not a close call at all. Cloudflare’s forecast is accurate.
For context, Global bandwidth is somewhere between 2-8 Pbps (2,000-8,000 Tbps) depending on if your measuring fiber public backhaul (like international fiber) or all public and private connections. 100,000 V3 Starlinks equals 100 Pbps 10x-50x the total bandwidth available today. If Starlinks V4s are 5x more capable we are looking at 50x-250x more bandwidth than world has today over the next 10 years. This may sounds like a supply shock but remember ~2B people don’t have regular access to the internet today, and we are connecting robots (digital and physical agents) to the internet at an accelerating pace. Distributed sensor data collection (on and off planet) is growing. On top of that individual internet usage does steadily increasing. In 10 years we’re probably going to move two orders of magnitude more information per second around than we do today.

Good ideas and good governance without the grift by the power apparatus of the @DNC are exactly what we need in California
Just spotted at Ralph’s: Milk: $7.49 Butter: $8.29 Eggs: $13.49 Thanks to Becerra's machine, California has the highest grocery prices in the country. Time for some relief — your first $150k tax free.

⚡️Choosing a spouse is choosing the hidden constitution under which the rest of your life will operate. Every investment you ever make sits downstream from that constitution. Your spouse enters the machinery that decides where you live, how much you spend, how much risk you can carry, whether you can endure five bad years while building something, when children arrive, how they are raised, which relationships survive, what status you chase, what temptations you resist, how much sleep you get, how much conflict occupies your mind, and eventually what kind of person you become. Stocks sit outside the investor. A spouse enters the investor and changes the process producing every future decision. The catastrophic outcome is larger than losing half your assets in divorce. Divorce is simply the moment the damage becomes legible enough for accountants to measure. A badly chosen partner can consume twenty years without ever leaving. They can make the ambitious opportunity feel too dangerous, make unnecessary consumption feel mandatory, turn every sacrifice into resentment, poison concentration, sever valuable relationships, create chaos around children, and slowly train the other person to choose peace today over possibility tomorrow. By the time money reveals the damage, the larger fortune has already disappeared in the form of lives that were never lived. A great spouse does the opposite at exactly the same depth. Two people with aligned time horizons create a private civilization capable of storing effort across decades. One can carry the household while the other takes a risk. One can see weakness when the other cannot. Each becomes a witness against the other’s self-deception. Success does not trigger rivalry, temporary asymmetry does not become humiliation, and sacrifice accumulates because both people believe they are building the same future. The household begins to behave like a single organism with two sets of eyes, two reservoirs of resilience, two networks, two minds searching the environment, and one compounding memory. That creates a form of leverage more powerful than borrowed money because the leverage operates on the person making the decisions. Courage increases because failure becomes survivable. Patience increases because someone else remembers the horizon during periods when conviction collapses. Attention becomes more concentrated because the home does not continuously demand emotional firefighting. Reputation strengthens because stability compounds socially. Children inherit coherence instead of unresolved conflict. Wealth then becomes one visible output of a much larger machine.
Someone asked for the single best piece of investing advice for people in their 20s. The top answer: choosing your spouse.

This is a great strategy to remove your funding gravy train unless you admit to favorable treatment only to the billionaires who fund your party (which then becomes an undeniable signal to the duopoly’s money monopoly and corruption of our constitutional promises). Imagine funding these idiotic policy moves and gaslighting the low information voter masses without billionaire donors ? How about we just ban parties from have access to superpacs and pass voter id laws in every state and get the fraud and money manipulation out of our democratic process?
⚡️California’s Democratic Party endorsement shows the ideological center of gravity has moved beyond taxing income toward challenging the legitimacy of extreme private wealth itself. That is the phase shift. The billionaire is no longer treated merely as a rich taxpayer. The billionaire is increasingly treated as a rival center of power. That changes the political objective. Revenue becomes only part of the motive. The deeper motive is subordination. The state wants to establish that no private balance sheet sits beyond public claim, even when the wealth has not been sold, distributed, or converted into cash. A wealth tax reaches into ownership itself. That makes it qualitatively different from higher income or capital-gains taxes. The state begins taxing the continued possession of accumulated power. The coalition supporting this believes concentrated wealth already governs too much of society through capital allocation, media ownership, philanthropy, lobbying, technology, housing, and political access. Taxation becomes a tool for reducing that independent power, not merely funding programs. That is why the argument will spread. AI will increase the political pressure. The next productivity wave will reward ownership of models, chips, platforms, data, energy, and equity far more than ordinary labor. A small number of people will accumulate fortunes at a speed the political system cannot culturally absorb. The public will see machine-driven abundance alongside professional displacement, wage compression, housing scarcity, and concentrated ownership. The demand to tax wealth will become stronger because the ownership gap will become harder to defend through traditional merit narratives. The technology class helped finance the political culture now turning against it because it believed social liberalism and capital accumulation could remain permanently aligned. That bargain is ending. Progressive politics accepted concentrated wealth while that wealth funded its institutions, media, nonprofits, universities, and campaigns. The emerging faction sees the concentration itself as the violation. Moving to Texas solves state residency exposure. It does not solve national political exposure. It also does not solve reputational exposure, federal taxation, corporate regulation, antitrust pressure, or the growing belief that geographic exit is proof of disloyalty. The claim that this automatically becomes federal policy in 2028 is overstated. The constitutional, legislative, electoral, and enforcement barriers are real. The more likely outcome is that wealth taxation becomes a required Democratic primary position before it becomes enacted federal law. Candidates will endorse the principle. The details will remain vague. The policy will function first as a loyalty test. That matters because political normalization precedes legislation. Once every major candidate accepts that accumulated wealth is a legitimate annual tax base, the argument has already crossed the hardest cultural threshold. The implementation can come later through narrower mechanisms: higher estate taxes, mark-to-market taxation, minimum taxes on unrealized gains, limits on borrowing against appreciated assets, exit taxes, trust restrictions, and tighter treatment of foundations and private holdings. A direct federal wealth tax may fail. The state can still construct its economic equivalent through multiple channels. The wealthy respond by reorganizing ownership, residency, trusts, liquidity, citizenship, and political giving. The state responds by expanding reporting, coordination, valuation rules, and exit penalties. Capital mobility then becomes evidence for stronger enforcement. Stronger enforcement accelerates mobility. The loop hardens. The larger political consequence is a durable split between the Democratic Party and the entrepreneurial class that once financed much of its ascent.

Oh dear. Mayor Pete seems to think the only reason we haven't built high-speed rail is a lack of money. Does he know it's already $200 billion over budget and six years late...and they haven't laid a single mile of track? Maybe stick to potholes, Pete.
Pete Buttigieg says higher taxes would help America build fast trains. Has he seen California’s high-speed rail? "If we had a more reasonable rate of taxation on capital gains and corporate income, and made it harder to pass along inherited wealth..." "We’d be out of this doom loop we’re in saying... We can’t possibly do something like fast trains here in the United States. Of course we can. This is the wealthiest economy in the world." "If we aren't collecting a fair level of taxes, then of course we're going to come up short when we're trying to fund those things." California started its high-speed rail 18 years ago. Original cost: $33 billion. Current estimate: $230 billion. They've already spent $15 billion. They've built 0 miles of operational high-speed rail. Low taxes isn't why America can't build fast trains.
