I am often asked what my priority would be if I was the prime minister. 1. Build 5 large modern day prisons. 2. While the prisons are under construction I would recruit 10,000 police and place them through a detailed training program to make their jobs recognised professionals. 3. While the prisons are being built.Recruit prison officers and make and pay them into respected professionals. 4. I would find the money by cutting back on military expenditure. In fact I would offer soldiers to apply for police or prison officer jobs. 5. My understanding of asylum seekers is that if they are trying to leave an oppressed county where they are in danger, they are supposed to go to nearest safe county.
