Gyanesh Kumar isn't cleaning voter rolls -he's engineering a one-party state for Modi's BJP. The Economist calls it the "biggest electoral scandal in decades," & the NYT exposes how it disproportionately targets Muslims. Modi can't export democracy with "Videshon mein danka".

🚨 Breaking: Two former Bengal CEOs, Debashis Sen and Basudeb Banerjee, just admitted they found the SIR process wrong but couldn't push back because "the CEO cannot challenge the EC's instructions." So let's talk about what those instructions produced: 90.8 lakh voters erased. 12% of Bengal's entire electorate. 27 lakh deleted purely on "logical discrepancies" - misspelled surnames, too many siblings - parameters with zero statutory basis under the Representation of the People Act 1950. In 105 of BJP's 207 winning seats, deleted voters outnumbered the winning margin. In 86 of those seats, BJP had never won before. This wasn't cleansing the rolls. This was cleansing the opposition. When your own former field officers call it "sinister," at what point does the Supreme Court call it what it actually is?

INC wants Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. Left wants Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. CJP wants Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. And IT Cell is crying– They all want ‘regime change.’ Conclusion: Even IT Cell knows that if Gyanesh Kumar goes, BJP won't win elections.

It only took 4 weeks for Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia to send fighter jets and soldiers to Yemen. After 4 years of genocide in Gaza, they sent NOTHING.

ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION: beyond the politics over Gyanesh Kumar, a core legal issue: why should a CEC/ECs enjoy POST TENURE immunity for actions taken by them as per the 2023 law, a privilege which even SC judges don’t enjoy? Why should any Constitutional functionary be above the law of the land,no? Why enact such a legislation in the first place? Think. 🙏

This photo is 18 years old in Palestine. It didn't start on October 7th, nor should October 7th have happened, nor should the genocide have started on October 7th.

#Mathuranews

Déjà vu During our National freedom struggle, when Gandhi was struggling on the streets and mobilising masses, the elites of Malabar Hill were routinely playing tennis in their clubs, unfazed by the developments beyond their ivory towers.
I’m in Berlin! Delighted to exchange views with Dr Bernhard Straub, CEO of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, at the Richard von Weizsäcker Forum 2026. Our conversation ranged from India-Germany relations to the changing international landscape, and to the question of how countries can retain room for manoeuvre when the old certainties no longer hold.

Vote chori in Bengal today? Scroll's @AnantGuptaAG and @ZamanRokibuz_ witnessed multiple instances of vote rigging in today's bye-poll in Rejinagar. Police is being heavily used to arrest Opposition members and even prevent voters from casting their vote. Will these tactics help the BJP "win" this Muslim-majority consistency?

#JungalRaj Dalit youth Deepak Gautam was building a house on his plot. He was demanded ₹20 lakh in extortion, and when he refused to pay, a barrage of bullets was fired at him. Watching the video feels like watching a war zone, with nonstop firing. Uttar Pradesh is increasingly becoming a graveyard for Dalits. The incident took place in Bajna, Mathura. Around 50 accused reportedly arrived and opened fire with pistols and rifles. People hide behind bricks to save their lives.

A smirking, nameless policeman, if at all he is one. He’s being asked some questions about why women are being detained beyond the allocated hours in the evenings, but he smirks away gloriously. Their actions are as if they have the license to kill and get away.
