The amount of money we spend right now with 4 kids (ages 5-13), as well as a mortgage, is bonkers.
We will spend so much less money when we are retired empty nesters with a paid off home.
Income won’t need to be nearly as high.
Many people forget this with retirement planning.

McDonald’s is a great company!

If you haven’t recently, check all your TV and streaming monthly bills.
You could save a bunch of money.
I recently cancelled my DirecTV because it went up to $200/month.
I was also paying $17/month for Disney+ and $19/month for Hulu.
After cancelling DirecTV, they reached out about DirecTV stream, which I’ve never used.
DirecTV stream will cost me $115/month all-in for two years, and that INCLUDES subscriptions to Disney+ and Hulu.
Needless to say, I cancelled my current Disney+ and Hulu and will take the new package with DirecTV stream.
I went from nearly $240/month to $115/month for the exact same content. Actually more because I also now get ESPN Unlimited for free.
That’s more than $100/month extra to invest, or whatever else we’ll need it for.
