The @DeptofWar alongside @WHOMB has provided over 10 timely updates to the relevant Congressional authorizing and appropriating committees, including detailed information on obligations, operational costs, and unfunded replacement costs. We send CENTCOM cost reports on a reoccurring basis, with our latest cost estimate transmitted August 28.  The Department will continue to keep transparency and accountability with Congress as mandated by law, without compromising the security of our servicemembers.

Steve Feinberg is a total patriot and loves America. Whenever I need anything with border operations or the homeland defense mission he always makes it his top priority. Anyone involved in this fake news scheme is a disgrace.

The @DeptofWar has never had a better Deputy Secretary than Steve Feinberg. Stories like these are COMPLETELY false. Outside forces (i.e. companies he is pressing for results!) want Steve gone because he is so effective in advancing @POTUS’ agenda. His leadership is HISTORIC.

The War Department could not ask for a more capable Deputy Secretary than Steve Feinberg. Any report suggesting otherwise is fake news. Steve is doing exactly what Americans expect from the Pentagon: slashing bureaucracy, pushing the defense companies to deliver on time and on budget, and protecting all Americans. There has never been a more faithful Deputy Secretary. Steve aggressively executes on behalf of the President and the Secretary every day.

This is the interagency agreement between @NIH and @DeptofWar that @rosadelauro grossly mischaracterizes as something nefarious.
