Canada already has a trade deal with the EU (CETA) but in 2025, the UK alone bought more more goods from Canada (6.4% of Canadian exports) than the whole EU (5.5%). The UK's imports from Canada increased by 154% since 2021 using CETA and now we are both members of the CPTPP. Meanwhile the US alone bought 73% of all Canadian exports in 2025. Canada's second largest export market was the UK, then China, then Japan.
