كارثة انهيار النظام الطبي في غزة ليست خبراً عابراً إنها واحدة من أخطر الكوارث التي يعيشها الفلسطينيون اليوم. في غزة، أصبح المريض لا ينتظر موعداً مع الطبيب فقط؛ بل ينتظر أن يدخل الدواء، وأن يجد مستشفى يعمل، وأن تتوفر المعدات التي يحتاجها علاجه. أدوية تنفذ، مستشفيات خرجت عن الخدمة أو تعمل بإمكانات محدودة، إمدادات طبية لا تصل بما يكفي، وأطباء يواصلون العمل في ظروف قاسية، حتى إن كثيراً منهم يعملون من دون رواتب. يمكن للطبيب أن يبقى واقفاً طوال اليوم، لكن ماذا يفعل أمام دواء غير موجود؟ ماذا يفعل أمام جهاز خرج عن الخدمة؟ وماذا يفعل عندما لا تصل المستلزمات التي يحتاجها لإنقاذ المريض؟ 
 لكن من وجهة نظري، أخطر ما في انهيار الطب هو أن ما يُفقد ليس مجرد مستشفى أو دواء، بل القدرة على إنقاذ الإنسان عندما يحتاج إلى الإنقاذ.. سنوات من الخبرة الطبية، وأطباء، وأجهزة، وأدوية، وبنية صحية كاملة لا يمكن تعويضها في لحظة، وعندما تنهار معاً يصبح أبسط مرض عبئاً ثقيلاً على المريض والطبيب معاً هذه واحدة من أخطر صور انهيار الحياة في غزة.

في غزة امرأة قُتلت قبل أن تلد، وطفل قُتل قبل أن يرى الحياة.
