Much of the wealth that is perceived by older generations is tied into the 'equity' of their houses. While at the same time, the younger generations don't have the capital to buy those assets without the older selling at a massive discount. So how do you get the older generation out without wiping them out, while getting a new generation of bag holders? You can't selectively cut checks based on age. You can't drop the interest rate without killing the bond market. You can't raise the rate without killing the stock market. So how do you give money to one generation and not another one while making it seem natural? What can you pump that the youth embraces while the older generation avoids? Any ideas?
