Yes, Trump Broke the Rules.
Reminder: You don't come to my timeline to hear the same old takes.
In my opinion, when Trump kicked out CNN, MS NOW, and Politico, he violated their free speech rights.
And it was the right thing to do.
"Free speech" means the government won't punish us for saying something the government dislikes.
Trump is the government now, and he just punished three media companies for saying things he disliked. So yes, he infringed their free speech.
Yeah, I know; they don't "own" their seats in the White House. That doesn't matter. They were punished by the government for what they said, so their speech is no longer free.
Unfortunately, free speech was always a luxury good. We could only have it until someone used it destroy the civilization that paid for it.
For at least 60 years, leftist media used their free speech to undermine Western civilization. We tolerated their sedition, because they seemed unlikely to succeed.
That tolerance was a luxury we can no longer afford. Now the leftist media are not merely trying to destroy our civilization; they are on the brink of succeeding.
We are staring into the abyss that they largely created.
We can't ignore their sedition anymore, so we must give up something we valued: A free press.
I might tolerate you shooting at me, so long as you seem likely to miss. But when your bullets start landing between my feet, I'm taking away your 2nd-amendment rights.
We tolerated leftist media treason, so long as they seemed unlikely to destroy us. But now their bullets are landing between our feet, so Trump took away their 1st amendment rights.
This is not a "moral" question. This is not a "Principled stand." Leftist media shoved us out of those blessed realms.
Now we are back in the jungle, playing by jungle rules.

No, that's not a legal term. Legally, "Sushi grade" means nothing at all.

is not what you expect.
The last time X locked me out of my account, I spent some time browsing my leftist surveillance account. That account does not post, but it liked and followed a few wackos like Bernie Sanders.
First, the non-surprise: That feed is filled with Trump hate.
The only Indian posts are from India, trumpeting Indian social progress. Leftist X readers might not know we've been invaded, unless they walk outside.
Here is the surprise: My leftist feed is dominated by obviously fake AI video, ranging from implausible animal attacks to revolutionary military jets to superhuman acrobatics. Many include giants.
I never liked or even clicked on that stuff. Apparently, if the X algorithm identifies you as leftist, it will feed you fake AI video.
This surprised me, because I thought Area 51 conspiracy theories appealed mainly to low-IQ right-wingers.
Apparently, I was wrong.

After 50 years, academia finally attacked the wrong people.
BREAKING: An advisory panel on accreditation has recommended that the Department of Education suspend the American Psychological Association (APA) for 12 months amidst concerns about ideological standards on DEI, gender-related treatment, and especially antisemitism.
After hearing from several groups during a meeting yesterday, the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity’s (NACIQI) voted to make the recommendation.
The recommendation now goes to the Department of Education for a final decision.

2: There are two things going on: a litigant in India is attempting to sue me. Then, at the same time, a large brigade hit X on my account reporting most of everything I've ever posted on the platform, reporting my profile, reporting my banner, reporting my username, and reporting my handle, attacking the whole content surface of my account.
3: I had a brief discussion today about how my account was handled at X. I am not going to say who it was with or any detail beyond this: It appears my account was transported through every status under the sun at X. One or more X employees wanted to leave a hold on my account for my profile name "Desi H-1Bhenchods", as the term is super-offensive in India. It isn't in the USA, because the USA is not a Hindutva culture region. I don't live in India, and rarely do I ever want to engage with "South Asia". But we are forced to do so against our will here under the Terms and Conditions of this website. As you can see, that also was finally overridden. I was restored before I even had an opportunity to file an appeal.

The party of limited government is oddly incurious about the voting pattern of the Indians it welcomes.
Apparently, the Texas Libertarian Party plans to shrink the government AFTER we let 50 million Indians move in and vote 2-1 socialist.
Q: What do you call Galt's Gulch with open borders?

From now on, I will introduce myself as a "Small-l libertarian," so I won't be confused with these clowns.
The Libertarian Party of Texas thanks Hindu Parents Network for calling this out. Let's be clear about what actually happened.
Bo French, the Republican nominee for Railroad Commissioner, looked at a photo of UT students celebrating a football win over Ohio State and saw an invasion. He labeled American kids foreigners based on nothing but the color of their skin, claimed Americans were being "displaced by foreigners," and told his followers the problem was far worse than anyone imagined. The problem he saw was brown students in burnt orange cheering for their team.
Most of those students were born right here. Texas is the only home they have ever known. They showed up and celebrated a win, and a man asking Texans to elect him to statewide office decided that made them a threat.
Libertarians believe the individual is the smallest minority there is. We judge people by their choices and their character, never by their ethnicity, their religion, or where someone assumes their family came from.
Regardless of their citizenship, no child should have a target placed on them because of their skin color, ethnicity, religion, or perceived national origin.

This is not a gray area, and the silence around it says plenty. When a party's own statewide nominee points at American students and calls them a problem, quiet distancing is not enough. Say plainly that it is wrong. We do. Every leader who won't is telling you exactly what they are willing to tolerate.
