You know the irony of this is that this very statement was the topic of my Imperial Feminism lecture today at the University of Edinburgh.

I had the opportunity to share the stage with Norman Finkelstein a few weeks ago in London. I really enjoyed our conversation and slight disagreements. Notice the civility of the debate here. Something that escapes many American academics.

Now many scholars and pundits admitted this was not the case...yet here we go again. @blkprofcct are you aware of this claim.

“When you’re Black, White people believe every accusation is a conviction.” Chris Rock reveals it still f*cks with him to this day that he didn’t pay for a lawyer to help his best friend’s brother, Roger Logan, who was later exonerated after spending nearly 17 years in prison for a murder he was wrongfully convicted of, as Chris Rock expresses regret, saying he had the means to help him but didn’t. Also, Chris Rock reveals that his best friend used to plead with him to pay for a lawyer to help Roger Logan, as Chris Rock explains that he never did because he had a “no-lawyer thing” since paying for lawyers was so open-ended, revealing that he was always willing to pay for a mortgage, education or anything else, but he stayed away from lawyers because the cost was so open-ended. Police utilization is an under jnvested for of domestic abuse and coercive control a/g Black men.
Many forms of domestic violence and abuse are underreported. Especially when it’s directed against men. I got a homeboy who just got out of prison a few years ago and is living with a girlfriend who calls the police on him and tries to violate his probation when she is angry. What instrument is there for him to report that when studying IPV? What’s the cascading effects of this kind of weaponization of police for a black man with a criminal record? Where can he get help for being targeted in this way?

The data shows most report older girls and peers. We found some stories where male perpetrators were involved but the literature overwhelmingly points to female perpetrators. This also matches made to penetrate data from the CDC.

Yess but can we stop saying they were touched by older women, yes some were but it's their fathers, brothers, cousins and friends exposing then and touching or encouraging certain behaviors. Things won't change until identified. Fathers having weird private talks with their sons

I am glad to see how “Edinburgh school” is becoming an accepted term describing the historical contribution that the group has made & at the same time presenting the historic image of Edinburgh as where you can safely pursue scholarship on Black radical tradition among others.

Well this is a lie. I have published the most on BM sexual assault over the last decade globally. The argument isnthat feminism does not offer an account of female perpetrators of SA a/g men generally & Blk feminism reproduces this problem.

The paper argues that Blk boys have the earliest age of sexual debut & are in greater need of tailored interventions such as sex education & consideration of trauma by schools & clinicians.

The literature review I conducted on this topic shows previously published works identify feminism, sexual scripts about Blk male sexuality, & misandric stereotypes as reasons for the disbelief in the prevalence of sexual violence against Black boys.
