Drake University professors Emily Newman and Edward Kelley just launched a floating “quilt” that’s more than public art — it’s a recycled-plastic installation called “It’s in the Water” that captures excess nitrates from a pond at Wilson’s Orchard using spirulina algae, plus sensors and filters to measure impact. 💧 Art + science for cleaner Iowa water — and it’s free to see at Wilson’s Orchard & Farm.
