I also love how intellectuals, philosophers, writers, artists have documentaries made about them. Byung-Chul Han, Houellebecq, Chomsky, Francis Bacon... And of course the Žižek films. 😁 The documentary essay about Han is actually quite popular, many reviews and comments about it

I need to read more Han. I've read "The burnout society" and also some of his two other essays collections published in Poland. ^^ (So yup, too much in fragments 😅) I want to buy his "No respect", on the crisis of respect in modern internet society and how it affects +

Really nice focus on the influences of taoism and South Korean philosophy, contemplation in the philosophy, books of Byung-Chul Han in the "Tygodnik Powszechny" article on him.

Byung-Chul Han article reading continues. So many interesting details from his life. Apparently there's a film about him, where he talks about his life. And about his favorite things and places in Germany. Did you know Han regularly visits the graves of brothers Grimms? [+]

And also possibly Hegel's. Interesting comparison of him to Žižek in the article. 🙂 The author says Han studied metallurgy in as possibly requested by his industrialist father, but he eventually moved to Germany and in secret studied philosophy there. He's so cool!

I'm listening to the "Harry Potter and the philosopher'e stone" soundtrack again. The magic is back, I feel the childhood. 😊 I actually have the soundtrack on cd. I think my mom bought it for me when it first came out. 😊

.@LikeBeachdWhale Oh and re: Israel: I find intriguing how the state firstly envisioned also from leftist perspective (kind of) turned into a country ruled and supported by far righters. Also coexistance of Jews and Palestinians in Israel is interesting. Polish book reportages +

@Gemstarsjar You made me want to see "Clayface", I might go! It's just premiered here in Poland. So interesting to see body horror being back in modernity. It makes sense, the way people online and influencers keep focusing on body, looksmaxxing etc. It reminds me of the recent +
