As a freshly out of acting school actor looking for a successful career in the field, what scares me the most is studios abusing consent and compensation and actors looking for a breakthrough, their dreams are shattered.
If studios abuse A.I. in film and television by consent & compensation then working actors, and newer actors have pretty much no chance anymore in a field that is already super hard for the majority to book consistently. I know work is not guaranteed for any actor in this business, but A.I. will stifle this business which is meant to continuously blossom. And one of the ways that it blossoms is that all actors, from the background to the series regular to the lead of a film get hiring opportunities.
Studios will get to a point where they won't hire new actors when they can get consent through compensation from well-known actors and generate multiple films and shows with only them in it to meet their quota. They don't gotta worry about scheduling conflicts anymore which is a reason why lots of films have taken gambles on newer actors. Generative A.I. needs to be banned from the industry. Also, think about the negative effect a bad A.I. deal will have on makeup artists, PAs, Cooks, and so on. Other jobs are relying on a deal that doesn't distribute their livelihood as well. I trust you'll do right by the actors who are just entering the business and who want a shot, & the actors who've been in this business looking for a big breakthrough or looking just to book work to pay the weekly bills.
