@duolingo @Duo_is_sad How do you do it? You F-ed my app up once again. I stopped when you introduced “the path”. So after a year I Deleted my progress and started from scratch. But now you decided to merge my previous progress with my current one!! Please explain.

Duo is helping itself. Since the IPO has done away with everything that was good about the platform. The few replacements they’ve put in place have all been inferior to the features they removed.

Duolingo is a super predatory app, bludgeoning you over the head with emails and notifications constantly to come back. I’ve even noticed that they trick you into spending more in game currency, which then prompts you to buy more. And yet, they’re replacing staff with subpar AI

Duolingo claims it’s helping save languages, and how exactly is it doing that by firing experienced translators and language speakers to replace them with AI that *can’t even pronounce complex languages correctly*

Duolingo laid off a huge percentage of their contract translators, and the remaining ones are simply reviewing AI translations to make sure they're 'acceptable'. This is the world we're creating. Removing the humanity from how we learn to connect with humanity.

Totally undeserved, imo. Even if I could get over the 2022 Update (I haven’t, btw), I’m STILL waiting for proper GUIDEBOOKS to be provided for my target language. I am starting to get lessons that DEMAND grammar clarification & I have to look elsewhere for it - used to be better.

I absolutely hate it. So slow, so crazy repetitive. Can’t clear off words you already know. You have zero ability to customize. Silly competitions and rewards. But, reading all these positive responses makes me think there’s something wrong with me.

I am afraid you are right. Their effort goes to more money and more learners, at the cost of those learners. Their strong point is to make it easy to learn every day. But @duolingo misses important grammar lessons, and the quality lowers now I go further.

When your on a 1300 day streak and about to start section 4 but @duolingo forces an update that resets you back to square one as a beginner and all progress is lost!!! 😒

Every time Duolingo "updates their courses" I get pushed back a little. I'm ready to call this targeted

Why is Duolingo not letting me sign back in? Also why was I signed out in the first place? If I lose my streak I’m deleting the app. It’s about I leave anyways, they have been consistently ruining that app since they changed from the tree path to this ugly single path

I've no idea what's up with their "learning experts". It all seems so arbitrary. Do you plan to keep with the program?

@Duolingo @Duo_is_sad Latest updates threw me back 10 lessons. I am now at new lesson. Did two lessons in "Describe symptoms". Practice Hub is throwing sentences at me with vocabulary from the next lessons. Fix it! EmilyAnnFr2 Dutch
