Pretty much summed up the nightmare you could foresee based on the regular season abominable hitting. The pity for me is they had the pitching to go all the way to win the World Series if they only had an average MLB team hitting.

I disagree with the majority of Yankee fans (and MLB fans of every team). MLB managers have very little to do with teams winning or losing. The players determine that. Blame should be placed on the GM's who construct the roster (Cashman). Managers don't pitch, hit or field.

It pretty much doesn't matter who the Yankees started in Game 1 as they have no hits and no runs through 6 innings.

It seems like dozens of times this season I've looked at the Yankee games in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th inning and see they are getting no hit. I was hoping the Red Sox series would wake up the hitters. So far, not so good.

I like Spencer Jones, but watching his at bats I know his Kryptonite. High fastballs from the middle to inside part of the strike zone. He swing & misses all of them. Not even a foul tip. My suggestion is spend the entire off season figuring out how to hit those pitches.

IMO the Yankees have LESS of a chance to beat the Rays if Judge was on the roster. They might still lose to the Rays without Judge, but I think they have a better chance. An unhealthy injured Judge would be a big liability.

My fear for the Yankees in the playoffs was their terrible hitting during the regular season would kill them. They killed the Red Sox. Was that an indictment of the Red Sox pitching or was this a turnaround? I guess we'll find out soon.

If the Yankees can hit at or close to how they hit against the Red Sox, they are winning the World Series. Not sure if that's an aberration or an indictment against the Red Sox pitching. But it would be fun.
