Their innate desires will be filtered through the lens of whatever is in vogue in their influence locale. They have no agency fit to answer to NW’s framing.
The conflict around trans kids really turns on the nature of the parent/child power dynamic. Is a child a parent’s property, an indentured servant, a mini-me to gratify some narcissistic self-duplication urge? Or are children autonomous people?
