There are moments that become milestones.
Last October, Lagos made history as the first African city to host an E1 race, bringing together world-class electric racing, innovation, entertainment, and a shared vision for a more sustainable future.
What unfolded on the Lagos waterfront wasn't just a race,it was a statement about what's possible when Africa takes center stage.
As we count down to this year's edition, we're looking back at the moments that started it all.
October can't come soon enough.

At its core, E1 is about more than racing.
It’s about proving that innovation, sustainability, and sport can move together.
From all-electric E1 RaceBirds to cleaner waterways and a commitment to protecting our oceans, every race is part of a bigger mission: accelerating the transition to a more sustainable future.
Because the future of sport shouldn’t come at the expense of the planet.

98 days to go.
Last year, Lagos made history.
The world's first electric powerboat championship came to Africa, and together we showed the world what was possible.
Today, the journey is even bigger. Africa is no longer represented by just one race. With E1 Luanda GP now on the calendar, our continent continues to shape the future of electric marine racing.
Now, all roads lead back to Lagos.
See you on October 3–4, 2026, as we write the next chapter.

In E1, teams are built on a simple but powerful standard: one male pilot, one female pilot, competing equally for a single championship.
This is a structural shift in how sport is defined, and experienced.
This October, Lagos becomes part of that global movement.

Last year, Didier Drogba said it clearly:
E1 is not just racing. It’s a sustainability movement.
As we head to 2026…
This message matters even more.
