Rivals Recruits “On the Radar” is built primarily for the millions of athletes who go unnoticed in the recruiting process and are generally confused about how it works. For three decades, our business has scouted elite/blue-chip athletes. Now, we can build a platform and community for the masses. We have been building Rivals Recruits behind the scenes for 2+ years and officially rolled it out in November of last year. It is a product and service we are incredibly excited about, and it serves a market that desperately needs information and transparency. Since everyone else is telling one piece of the story, let me share more details. Rivals Recruits is building a public-facing database and platform, “On the Radar,” to report on the recruits that our industry has never listed or ranked. We didn't have a platform to database up-and-coming athletes or those who aren’t on the P4’s radar. This is a fundamental addition to the Rivals business, and we believe parents, athletes, and coaches need it. We intend to disrupt the entire space by making it available and transparent. Rivals Recruits has three layers, not just the one making the headlines. 1) Rivals On the Radar Grade (free). Rivals now issues scouting grades on non-star on-the-radar recruits. Historically, we didn't have a platform to grade these players. Instead of hiding away in a scout’s notebook and never being mentioned, these players will receive a non-star On the Radar grade and be listed in the database. This is a significant revelation for the recruiting and scouting space. In fact, most ranked kids in the On the Radar DB will come from this category. This is 100% free to everyone. 2) Claim your profile. We are building a database for all athletes in the U.S. With their parents' consent, athletes can “claim their profile” and manage their message, highlights, stats, accolades, etc. This service costs $29.99 and renews at $59.99. It also includes a free On3 | Rivals National subscription. It is a robust product with numerous features being added each week to help athletes and parents through the recruiting process. 3) Player Evaluation. Athletes, through parental consent, have the opportunity to purchase a detailed scouting evaluation. The evaluation is to help guide the athlete/parent in the recruiting process, see how they stack up against the blue-chips, and includes strengths and areas of improvement. Once the athlete receives the report, they can elect to keep it private and out of public view. This service costs $399 and requires significant time from our scouts to produce. We have been 100% transparent and extremely proud of the work being done behind the scenes to produce these evaluations. Payment guarantees the evaluation. It does not guarantee stars, a ranking, a rating increase, or recruiting interest. For thirty years, our teams have worked overtime to build great products and services. We are incredibly motivated to build Rivals Recruits and give athletes, parents, and coaches a platform to share their story, control their message, and learn about the recruiting process. Nothing changes for the roughly 6,000 star-rated prospects Rivals already scouts and ranks every year. We will continue to identify, evaluate, and rank those players exactly as we always have, for free. Rivals Recruits simply expands our coverage beyond that group.
