My husband recently got a promotion.
He’ll now be making about $186,000 a year.
I make $58,000.
We have a three-year-old daughter, and daycare is costing us almost $2,000 a month.
A few weeks ago, my husband sat me down and suggested that I quit my job and stay home with our daughter.
On paper, it makes sense.
My entire paycheck barely covers daycare, commuting, lunches, and the other expenses that come with working.
If I stayed home, we’d save money, our daughter wouldn’t have to spend 9 hours a day at daycare, and we’d have more flexibility as a family.
