What about women? 3x more men than women have been enrolled in clinical trials of ECMO, the last line of life support. Only 2 trials reported race. Trial diversity is crucial to ensure equal access to advanced life support. VV ECMO 🚹🚹🚺 VA ECMO 🚹🚹🚹🚺 ECPR 🚹🚹🚹🚹🚺 journals.lww.com/ccmjournal/…

Seeing how much the world accepts that it’s impossible to move on after watching CPR really makes me think about how we (medical professionals, especially those who work in Emergency departments) are expected to just move on immediately after a code.

Pat Summitt coached for 38 years and won over 1,000 games. Her teams won 8 national titles, and she coached in the Olympics. But, my favorite stat is that every single player that played under Summitt graduated. 161 total athletes. 100% graduation rate. RIP to a great one.
She changed the game of women's basketball. Pat Summitt would be 69 today 🧡
