Allen O’Connor (Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing) has been involved in various research collaborations through the Mental Health Nurse Academic Network UK (MHNAUK).
Allen’s plan is to use what he has learnt to lead on his own systematic review of student nurse perspectives of the role of a mental health nurse (specifically capturing the cohort trained under the revised Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) proficiencies).
Allen met with Mo Ghoorun (Senior Lecturer in Nurse Education) and Elizabeth Jarratt (Senior Lecturer in Learning Disabilities Nursing) recently and is hoping to commence the project in the new year.
