🟠 Job Opening: Senior Program Officer and Researcher, Refugee and Migrant Rights
🟠 The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR) is seeking to recruit a senior program officer and researcher to establish and lead a new refugee and migrant rights program, employing our integrated strategy which combines research, policy formulation, public communication, national and international advocacy, legal assistance, and participatory solidarity.
🟠 Job Responsibilities:
We expect the Senior Program Officer, Refugee and Migrant Rights to:
📌 Monitor, document, and analyze the situation of refugees and migrants in Egypt, including relevant legislative developments, policies, strategies, and executive and judicial practices, and propose recommendations and solutions.
📌 Initiate and conduct research reports, studies, articles, and media materials related to the protection of refugee and migrant rights.
📌 Collaborate with relevant units to design and implement media, awareness, and advocacy campaigns to advance refugee and migrant rights in Egypt and ensure EIPR’s recommendations are implemented.
📌 Coordinate with the Legal Unit to receive and document legal aid cases related to the program.
Organize relevant training and capacity building for staff, partners, and stakeholders.
📌 Represent the program and EIPR in communications with media, civil society, policymakers, executive authorities, and stakeholders targeted by the program’s work.
📌 Attend internal meetings and perform administrative tasks as part of the EIPR team.
🟠 Qualifications and Requirements
📌 Strong, multi-year experience in refugee and migrant rights.
📌 Documented experience in policy research and writing.
📌 Strong speaking and writing skills in both Arabic and English.
📌 Availability for full-time on-site work, five days a week.
📌 Residency in Greater Cairo, and the willingness and ability to travel within and outside Egypt.
📌 Egyptian citizenship or holding a work permit in Egypt.
