Elon Musk: My early tweets were already crazy. “I actually had one of the very first Twitter accounts when it was less than 10,000 people. Everyone was tweeting at me what kind of latte they had at Starbucks. I was like, this seems like the silliest thing ever. So, I deleted my Twitter account. Then, someone else took it over and started tweeting in my name. And then, a couple of friends of mine, Bill Lee and Jason Calacanis, both said, hey, you should really use Twitter to get your message out. And also, somebody's tweeting in your name and they're saying crazy things. So I was like, I'll say crazy things in my name. And then, I don't know, to some degree, I just started tweeting for fun. My early tweets were quite crazy. The arc of insanity is not very steep because it started off insane. So if it's still insane, it hasn't changed that much. It seemed kind of fun. I think Some people use their hair to express themselves. I use Twitter.” Third Row Tesla Podcast, February 9, 2020

BREAKING: The FAA proposes five rule changes to make rocket launch approvals easier. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced plans to cut repeated paperwork and allow online applications while keeping safety standards in place. The changes support a U.S. goal of 1,000 commercial launches a year by 2030. For SpaceX, this could mean less paperwork, easier approvals and more frequent launches.

Starlink Mobile (direct-to-cell) V2 satellites are incredible. This @SpaceX constellation will enable more than 100 times the bandwidth of our current V1 system!
SpaceX just got a massive FCC green light for Starlink Mobile The FCC has approved SpaceX to launch and operate up to 15,000 next-generation satellites built for direct-to-phone connectivity The new system is designed to: • Target peak speeds of up to 150 Mbps per user • Connect ordinary cell phones directly from space • Operate in very low orbit at roughly 326–335 km • Use T-Mobile spectrum alongside spectrum SpaceX is acquiring from EchoStar • Deliver orders of magnitude more capacity than the first-generation Starlink Mobile constellation SpaceX currently has roughly 650 dedicated mobile satellites in orbit The FCC also granted a waiver giving SpaceX a path to provide satellite wireless service without requiring a spectrum-leasing agreement with a terrestrial mobile operator Starlink Mobile is moving far beyond basic dead-zone connectivity SpaceX is building toward a full 5G cellular network in space

The Giga Texas outbound lot is substantially emptied of all the vehicles that were her last week as the 3rd quarter came to a close. It appears a large effort to either deliver cars directly to customers or transport off site has occurred since I last flew on Wednesday and during the heavy rain storms that came through the area into the weekend. There is a group of Cybercabs with the “Cybercab” logos on them getting ready to ship off site, and another group on the S end of the EOL facility, but the rest that were nest to the W side of the EOL are all gone. I did notice a good number of @cybertruck arriving at the EOL sorting lanes & coming out of the Cybertunnel this morning, with another large grouping on the far W side of the outbound lot with transport trucks loading them up for shipping off site. There was also a large group of silver Model YL’s being prepared for transport too. It’s early on this Monday so production is just getting going after the weekend, but I did see activity suggesting the production lines are back up and running. Hopefully Production can ramp up to meet what is expected to be big demand in the 4th quarter and to make up for a low global inventory.

I genuinely feel bad for all the people still starting their mornings manually driving, burning gas, sitting in traffic, and stressing over every stop-and-go. Bc this is how I start mine now. Fresh coffee in a Tesla cup in my hand. Starship, something inspiring on the dash. Tesla FSD handling the entire drive, while I stay attentive. And my Cybertruck connected the entire time... a Starlink Mini that's integrated to my Cyberbeast is pulling 169 Mbps down, 12 Mbps up, with 36 ms latency while driving. Bro... think about it for a sec... my car is driving autonomously on FSD, I’m drinking coffee and pouring more with both hands, I’m learning about the most important vehicle ever created by humans in the background, Starlink is giving me fast internet from space on the move, and I’m posting this reality on 𝕏 from the same seat for the world to see. Just a few years ago this would’ve sounded like some made-up future. Now it’s just my morning.
