I’m humbled to share that I have now completed our first 100 Single-Port (SP) robotic urology cases at MUSC. What started as an effort to build a focused program in surgical innovation has grown into a truly unique SP robotic urology practice at MUSC and in South Carolina. The growth has been phenomenal, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see patients from across all corners of our state gain access to advanced minimally invasive surgical care. This milestone is not simply about the number of cases. It reflects the trust of our patients, the dedication of our operating room teams and colleagues, and a shared commitment to innovation while always keeping patient safety and outcomes at the center of every decision. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has helped build this program and supported this journey. One hundred cases is an exciting first milestone—but there is still much to learn, improve, and accomplish.
