On the occasion of the #WorldDayAgainstTheDeathPenalty, the EU and the @coe call for a legal moratorium on the death penalty in all those countries that have not joined the worldwide trend toward abolition of the capital punishment, including #Myanmar
Two-thirds of countries have moved away from the death penalty. 130 UN members call for a global pause. Those still using it are increasingly isolated. The death penalty has no place in the 21st century.
