✨ Grand Opening Event ✨ The awesome staff at Five Below recently hosted a Grand Opening event and I was told the store was packed when the doors first opened. I want to thank them for the invite and for being so welcoming to our Colton community! We appreciate them and wish their team all the best. The new store is located at 1100 S Mount Vernon Avenue and they are open seven days a week! I later returned and presented management with a certificate and I learned things are going well at their new Colton store. ✨ Appreciation Barbecue ✨ We had a blast at our Volunteer Usher Barbecue that was sponsored by our Priest, Reverend Moises Henriquez. He praised our efforts and gave us words of encouragement. He was also very savvy with the Karaoke device. 🎤 It was awesome spending time with our team in a relaxed setting and sharing some cool stories. We praised our leader Matilda for always organizing our events. ✨ Compensation Increase Declination ✨ The depicted memorandum is formal notification that I am voluntarily opting out of the upcoming compensation increase. The pay rate change is scheduled to take effect on November 3, 2026. I want to emphasize that this decision reflects my personal circumstances alone and should not be interpreted as a statement regarding the merits of the increase or the decisions of my colleagues. I was proud to vote in favor of the pay increase because I recognize that the time, dedication, attentiveness, and responsibility required of those who serve in these positions are immeasurable.
