In 2011, during Diwali, 7Aum Arivu released. Sottaiyan Vijay deliberately clashed with it by releasing Velayudham
Result: 7Aum Arivu became the first non-Rajini film to cross ₹100 Cr in Kollywood, while Velayudham collected ₹40 Cr WW and was a disaster.

"top 5 things that never happened"
#Sivakarthikeyan:
"I have entered into Cinema and did few films, few of the fans came to the shooting spot. A producer was there and he asked who are they. I said they are my fans, producer said 'Oh fans lam irukangala, they are just temporary, came just for craze'. I said they will be always there. That producer got angry and asked 'Fans Varuvanga, neenga irupingala industry la'. Now it's 2026, more than 2K fans gathered for Sivakarthikeyan Narpani iyakkam♥️"

Don’t be surprised if #Scene hits 50K bookings per hour on BMS in Kerala alone.
@ZhagaramOffl , don’t miss this opportunity. Release the Malayalam version as well. It could be a massive box-office sambavam overseas🥵🔥

Rajini remains the biggest pull with Jailer 2 hype. Suriya’s 2026 comeback (Karuppu + Vishwanath) puts him firmly in the top. Ajith and Kamal hold elite star value. The rest form a strong Tier 2 with Soori’s recent rise via Mandaadi.

This is the theatrical response to Suriya’s career-worst flop movie ET😭
If this Ramayana clash hadn’t happened, a ₹10 Cr+ opening in Kerala for #Scene would have been a sure shot. Anyway, just positive word of mouth is enough to smash all the records✌
