He WAS commentary on the beeb. No coincidence they’ve been found badly wanting since they ditched him. He didn’t care who he upset if it was for the greater good of the game he loved. There’ll be a massive hole in snooker journalism that will likely never be filled.
RIP Clive.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the irony of the BBC referring to Clive Everton as 'the voice of snooker' in their headline? This is the same voice they let go over a decade ago, despite him being one of the best commentators in the game. A true legend of the sport. RIP Clive Everton.

I am very saddened to learn that the legendary snooker commentator and journalist Clive Everton has died.
His iconic Snooker Scene magazine was the voice of the game for so many years and I was privileged to be a writer for it last year.
RIP Clive - a true great of our sport.

One of the eeriest abandoned football grounds in the UK today. Just found the 'magic hole-in-fence' into Mollinis Park, the home of the once-mighty Bugle FC on the fringes of the Cornish clay mines. Winners of the South Western League in 1985, the club's fortunes dwindled during the 90s and they eventually limped out of the East Cornwall League in 1998. Similar in style to the the grandstand at nearby @AFCSTAUSTELL, it's a sturdy edifice and has been left to nature.
