Wow. This is really putting the cat amongst the pigeons. Suggests @NICEComms threshold is WAY too high and needs cutting dramatically if it wants to help rather than harm the health of the nation sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

For anyone reading Liz Truss's mea culpa in The Sunday @Telegraph today, the idea Truss states that Kwarteng and the Treasury had not been warned of the budget's risks to financial stability was NOT TRUE. /1

Do any junior health economists have a paper that could use some feedback? My grad class has a ref report assignment later this semester and I’ll use your paper. I’ll give my feedback as well as a document that summarizes the useful comments from the class

We left EU 3 years ago today & #Bregret is higher than ever. No wonder, with trade down 15%, investment down 13%, soaring food inflation, tax revenue down £40bn. Our economy, society & environment are being held hostage by #Brexit ideologues, yet MPs are too scared to call it out

Superb paper. At NICE cttees it often comes down to asking the clinical experts which curve fits their expectations about LT survival. Feels uncomfortably ad hoc. If the LT curve is based on external data or at least a formal expert elicitation, the result should be more robust.

I have asked GPT-3 to write a blog post about the pros and cons of incorporating patient preferences into health policy decision making. This is what it came up with – what do you think?
