Question 2 - Transport Convener Cllr Stephen Jenkinson said council officers recommend sidelining the northern leg of the route to Granton. Whether the administration seeks to amend that at Thursday's Transport Committee by lodging an amendment we don't yet know (but have asked)

Funding for an extension to the tramline cannot come from council tax payers in Edinburgh alone according to the Transport Convener. He said: "I think that for a project of such local, regional and national importance I think we need support to be able to deliver it."
