Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya says Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna will seek the presidency on the United Democratic Party (UDP) ticket.
Natembeya says the UDP will provide Sifuna with a political vehicle after the ORPP rejected efforts to rename the party.
He adds that Sifuna will negotiate with opposition parties on a possible joint presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 General Election.
