Eight Sleep has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Health Abu Dhabi to demonstrate how intelligent sleep technology can support clinical research and unlock new models of preventive care.
The collaboration will begin with sleep apnea, one of the most underdiagnosed health conditions in the world. Through a governed clinical study, the parties will evaluate how Eight Sleep’s technology, including continuous sleep data, real-time temperature adjustments, and intelligent interventions, may help improve sleep apnea-related outcomes.
This marks Eight Sleep’s first government partnership of this kind, and the beginning of a new path for the company. Eight Sleep began by building consumer technology to help people sleep better every night. Now, the company is expanding that technology into new areas of medicine and preventive health, working alongside governments, healthcare systems, and regulatory bodies.
By combining Eight Sleep’s technology with Abu Dhabi’s health intelligence infrastructure, the study aims to build the clinical evidence required to responsibly integrate sleep technology into future care pathways.
Sleep is one of the most powerful and underused signals of human health. This collaboration represents an important step toward a new era in which sleep becomes a more measurable, actionable, and clinically relevant pillar of preventive care.
