I haven’t done anything so elaborate in a while. I really want to go back to baking. 1. Blueberry pie 2. Lemon curd and fruit of the forest pavlova 3. Mombasa lime pie 4. Chocolate caramel tart Videos on how I made them & some of my recipes are in my highlights on IG.
I would like to see my savory chefs post more dessert plates, I’ll be nice.

A prime example that illustrates why your neighbours’ foreign policy is entirely your business & may require attention/intervention. 100% of Eswatini’s borders, mostly informal an unmanned, are shared with South Africa; whatever happens there invariably trickles into South Africa
If this report is true, it raises a serious national security concern for South Africa. The United States has sent deportees, including people described as dangerous criminals, to Eswatini, from where they were allegedly released into South Africa through informal border crossings. That would be a grave breach of border security and would put people in South Africa at risk. The allegations need to be urgently investigated and verified by the authorities.

the weird thing about reading so much as a child and gaining a huge vocabulary from that is I can't define a lot of words i use, i just…know that they would fit correctly in a specific sentence. does anyone else experience that 😭?

Sometimes the point of the trip is to eat something good, stare at a body of water, and remember who tf you are. You don't always have to have a jam-packed itinerary!

Victor Wembanyama was asked if he would ever sign a deal with a sports betting company: “Absolutely not. Honestly, I think it’s very sad to see some players promote it.”

Beatrice Marshall said years ago that these highrises are badly built: Kenyans bullied her for that for a week straight. I posit that she was right then and she is still right today. We have to demand better for ourselves.

Gluttony is not only about engorging oneself with copious amounts food. We readily shame food gluttons for not controlling how much they eat but we reserve endless applause and adulation for wealth gluttons, power gluttons, promiscuity gluttons and attention gluttons.

US TV shows and in films normalised the mindset that college is where teens should spend more than half their time partying, and it got worse in the last several years due to the black pill manosphere streaming system with people like Clavicular pushing the "maxxing" culture.
One of the more terrifying aspects of the Cornell case is how almost nobody seems to register, by the descriptions, alarming levels of drug + alcohol use among elite Uni students. Weirdly normalized. There was always booze in the 80s, but not as layered with other intoxicants.

The remains stayed at the crash site. Police combed the wreckage. Funeral Parlour services waited. The man who could pick up a phone and reach Presidents had to wait for equipment that Zimbabwean authorities did not have. He had donated $2 million in cash and 20 Land Cruisers to the Army, Police and Prison Service on Unity Day. Indeed, no one is above the Gream Reaper's Program.

Doing all that instead of just asking for a divorce is rather ridiculous.
🇺🇸 In 2024, Wisconsin, a 45-year-old man faked his own death in order to escape his wife and kids and start a new life overseas. Ryan Borgwardt went out kayaking one night on Green Lake, flipped the boat, threw his phone and ID into the water, then paddled back to shore on an inflatable raft. From there, he rode a hidden electric bike 70 miles, crossed into Canada, and flew to the country of Georgia to move in with a woman he’d been talking to online. He had prepared for months: new passport, life insurance, reversed vasectomy, money moved overseas. Search teams spent weeks looking for his body with divers and drones. Then, just 3 months later, he was found alive and well. In 2025, a judge sentenced Ryan to exactly 89 days in jail — the same number of days he had kept everyone believing he was dead.

Dear @Kenyans Trevor’s statement is not true. There was no such call from former DP Gachagua. Such a call would in any case not be worthwhile at RMS. I have asked Trevor about the remarks and he says it is ‘a mistake and I regret it’. Trevor has also told me he ‘didn’t think the remarks would be picked up.’

Trevor Ombija's rally remarks have reopened a bigger question: what happens to newsroom credibility when journalists campaigning for office stay on shows that demand neutrality? Audiences shouldn't have to wonder whose interests an anchor is serving when they ask questions. We can't claim to hold power to account if we won't hold ourselves to account. MCK has draft guidelines on journalists seeking office. The real test: when do candidates leave the screen? That timeline can't be vague, and it can't wait until 2027.
