If MLS was serious about improving the level and opportunity for players, it would grow to 36 clubs and divide into MLS 1 and MLS 2 of 18 clubs with promotion and relegation between the two.
Replying to @PatJDelaney
We don’t ban foreign players but limit the amount. Short term pain is fine.

Yamal has the "dummy runner" card on PES circa 2012-13 😂 @T_I_F_G
🏆🤩 Lamine Yamal: “For Ferran's goal in the World Cup final… I drew two defenders with me, and Pedro Perro was able to deliver the cross on his own”. “Drawing 2 or 3 opponents is not enough for me. I know I'm helping the team massively, but people don't realize that”. “Only those who really understand football are the ones who appreciate these things”, told Movistar.
Community note
The statement is incomplete and missing context. Lamine Yamal was asked this by the journalist: “Drawing two or three opponents, is that a way of playing well, or is it not enough for you?” And was asked this: “Do you think people value these things, or only professionals?” x.com/mesblaugrana/s… x.com/mesblaugrana/s

Thomas Tuchel oriding himself with Berhalter-level accomplishments 😂

The Goat! Love that he's back at Real Madrid 😆
If you think José Mourinho's rants are wild, his first ever rant was completely insane. In 2000, Mourinho had only 8 career matches as a coach, when his Benfica player, Sabry, called him out in public. Mourinho's reply was crazy. "It's not easy for a coach to like a player who has an absurd average of offsides per game, that doesn't know how to position himself, that runs away from the pressure in away matches, that in the last few games was 3 times one on one with the goalkeeper and didn't score a goal, that at half-time, when I'm more aggressive, goes to the secretary to complain and say he's afraid of me. It's not easy for a coach to like a player like this. Then he says I never speak with him and the relationship is not correct. I have a little book about my individual meetings with the players, everything is there. With Sabry, who says I never speak with him, I had 7 individual meetings. Not one, not two, seven. And of the seven meetings, three of them were in the past 4 days. I spoke with him, but he doesn't like the things I tell him. Then he says that playing only 20 minutes in a match is little for him. Well, the only time he played only 20 minutes was against Paços de Ferreira, when he took 8 minutes just to put on his boots. Sabry left me a message via the media, so I feel perfectly confortable leaving him a message via the media as well. So I want to leave a message to Sabry and to the fans: This is Benfica, not Paok Salonica [Sabry's former club]." José Mourinho was a head coach for a little over a month. 😂 x.com/Iconic_Mourinho/status…

I should retire and start a consulting business recommending strikers to Italian clubs. Milan paid 70m for Ramos and 40m for Santi, Juve paid 50m for Kolo Muani 😂😂😂.
New Milan signing Gonçalo Ramos has not registered a single shot on target in his last three games and, against Benfica, lost possession 16 times.

Inter is the only Italian team that can compete in UCL. Last year was a freak elimination but they played well against Real Madrid and are the only Italian team to make a final this decade.
Inter lost to Real Madrid away, Napoli lost to EPL Champions Arsenal, while Roma drew Fenerbahce away. Como being only Serie A club to win in UCL this week with no Italians beating Leipzig is NOT proof of demise of Italian football which has many problems. Stick to NFL guys.

Cringe. Playing at the World Cup doesn't make a player world class in any reasonable definition of what that term is supposed to mean. @FootballCliches
New league. New clubs. Same world-class talent. 👀

The problem with Freeze is that he stopped in the middle of an actual game and had a brain fart in this generation's most important game. Not stopping for 4 years after that is irrelevant
🗣️Matt Freese on playing in the 2030 World Cup: "The very obvious focus for me is to be back there in four years. I’m not going to take a breath for four years. I'm not going to stop." Are we done with Freese?

Donovan's lack of self-awareness is hilarious. Donovan the manager would have left out Donovan the player 😆
“I know he's a good player, but he's hurting our culture.” USMNT legend Landon Donovan coached San Diego Loyal, where he created a conflict on purpose and then cut one of his best players to improve team culture. He was speaking on How Leaders Lead podcast 🗣️ “When I was coaching here in San Diego, things were going a little too well with our team,” Donovan said. “We were playing well, things were going well, but you could see complacency starting to creep into the group. “But when you're doing well, you can't just all of a sudden just blow them up and rip them apart in a locker room when you win 3-0, right? “So someone I really admire as a leader was Nate Miller, who was our assistant coach at the time and became the head coach and has gone on to great things. “And he would always say the same thing like, we need to create some sort of conflict. Like, we need to find some conflict. We need something now to get these guys' attention. “And we got a great gift. One of our best players was playing out of position, and he wasn't happy about it. But the team was doing well and we were winning. “And so I would say to him, ‘Hey, I know you're frustrated by this, but we're winning and we're doing well.’ “So we had a training session, and we watched it back after, and the team this player was on allowed a goal, and he just walked back and wasn't defending, right? “And so I was like, perfect. We have a moment where we can go after one of our best players in front of the team and say, this is unacceptable. “So we're showing the video, and I call him out in the video, and I say, ‘Hey, I don't care if you're playing goalie or right back or striker or whatever. If you defend like this, we're never going to get where we want to get to. So you can be mad about you not playing your best position or whatever, but it doesn't matter where you play if you defend like this.’ “And it got a little intense, but he gave us a great gift because he reacted very negatively in front of the group and came after me a little bit. “But I was prepared for it. So I was able then to go back at him. And after the meeting, he walked up, and this was the best part, and he said, ‘Hey, I don't think this is the right place for me. I want to get traded.’ And I said, ‘Okay, well, we'll try to trade you, but if that can't happen, we're willing also to just cut you, and you can go find a new team too. “And he's like, ‘Fine, I'm done.’ “So I went to my owner. In the second division in American soccer, they're not making huge money, but it might have been like a $50,000 deal to cut his contract. “And I said to my owner, ‘Are we willing to eat this money? It will help the group immensely because he's been a negative impact for a little while here. I know he's a good player, but he's hurting our culture.’ “And the owner said, ‘Do it. If you need to do it, do it.’ So I went back to him and I said, ‘Okay, we're done. We're going to cut your contract, and you can go on your way.’ And he said, fine. “He came back the next morning, and he said, ‘I thought about it, and I really think I made a mistake. I really want to be here.’ And I said, ‘Look, I'm sorry, but it's not going to happen. We already made the decision.’ “And that decision and what it did for the group was massive because if you're willing to cut one of your best players because they're not doing what they should be doing, the rest of the group pays attention, right? “It was the best gift we could have gotten.”

Lol no, the US roster did not outclass Belgium
Replying to @11Yanks
This generation completely lost the chip on their shoulder, the pure grit, that typified the Americans that preceded them. They outclass them in talent, but are outclassed in terms of mentality.

Tbh Argentina probably wins 2014 if Di Maria played
Messi’s International achievements with Argentina • 2008 Olympics Final: Di María 1-0 • 2021 Copa Final: Di María 1-0 • 2022 Finalissima: Di María goal • 2022 World Cup Final: Di María penalty won + goal Take Di María out of history and Messi is basically Michael Ballack in an Argentina shirt

Taylor doesn't realize that Barco does this as part of the game plan to rile up the redcoats and keep them from playing sensibly. If he gets a card, it doesn't impact. US wastes vibes spots on Roldan instead of someone who could disrupt the opponent.
Seriously. You are on the bench. GTFO the field please.

Karma.
Jordan Pickford showed his ballsack to the Argentina fans after Gordon scored then couldn’t save a basic shot which knocked England out the World Cup. Born loser.

"broke his leg" 😂😂😂
Here is Christian Pulisic’s world cup resume thus far: 5 goal involvements thru 8 games (not even 8 full games) is great production. He broke his leg for this country and may have deterred a transfer this summer. 1 single bad half (while playing thru injury, where the ENTIRE TEAM was awful) and people want to destroy the guy who has given us everything Moronic display by fake pundits who watch soccer every fourth June and want to pretend they know what they’re talking about

Barca should just adopt the Bilbao rule and only use players from La Masia. Broke but keep overpaying on unnecessary transfers like Gordon
🚨 Barcelona have secured a €210M loan to cover the club's day-to-day operations in the coming months. Club officials expect Barça to breach Financial Fair Play rules once again. The club could require further assistance to complete player registrations if financial issues continue. (Source: @La_SER)
