She brings a wealth of knowledge on countering violent extremism and disinformation in elections. During the George W. Bush administration, she worked on the president’s Faith-Based & Community Initiatives before serving on the inaugural staff of the White House Homeland Security Council after 9/11. After working as a senior advisor in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Elizabeth served as the Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism for the Department of Homeland Security in the first Trump administration. Today, she’s the Chief Strategy Officer at Moonshot, which works to end violence online. She’s also a National Security Analyst at ABC News, a Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Civil Society Fellowship, and author of Kingdom of Rage, the Rise of Christian Extremism and the Path Back to Peace.
