I AM FULLY OBIDIENTS AND I KNOW NIGERIA WILL BE OK UNDER PETER OBI AND KWANKWASO

"If Peter Obi becomes president, he won't steal and people in his cabinet won't steal. The president's body language matters, even though I don't support him" __ Rotimi Amaechi But at least he knows that Atiku will never fight corruption but instead he loot his own with his Northern brothers & sisters like Tinubu.

Dear @abikedabiri my sister. This is the first time I’m having to engage you on social media and for a very disturbing reason. The post you just made of Dr. Bolu Ogunyemi is no doubt worthy of commendation, because Bolu is a brilliant mind, but this event took place in 2024. What happened to the more recent praise-worthy and commendable achievement by pharmacist, Chika Onochie who has just won CAD$100,000 research award for his groundbreaking male fertility study in the same Canada? You know as much as I do that a lot of people have concluded you’re unashamedly tribalistic, especially in the way you discharge your duties. I’ve never gotten involved in that conversation about you. But the moment I saw this post, my alarm bells went off. Could it be that, rather than post about this milestone by an Igbo boy which literally just happened and has been widely reported in the media, you went all the way back to 2024 to pull a Yoruba-centric milestone by Dr. Bolu? That’s flat out tribalism! You’re neither a content creator nor a social media activist. You are a public servant taxed with ensuring the wellbeing and unity of Nigerians in diaspora, not Yorubas in diaspora - through the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization. To see something like this from you has further buttressed my long held notion that this administration’s nepotism is extremely infectious and unlike anything we’ve seen since the life of this nation. And this is what happens when it trickles down from the top. Honestly, this is very regrettable and I think you should apologize and retrace your steps.

Independence Is Meaningless Without Real Freedom As we continue to reflect on Nigeria’s Independence, we must remember that independence means very little if citizens cannot freely express themselves, within the bounds of the law, without fear. Reports that some Nigerians in Akwa Ibom were arrested simply for identifying with the Obidient Movement should worry every Nigerian who believes in democracy and freedom, especially when such identification is a constitutional right. One of the greatest tragedies of our society is that people who once described themselves as freedom fighters can become defenders of oppression when they eventually occupy positions of authority. Those who once complained about injustice can become comfortable with injustice when it is being perpetrated against people they disagree with. That must not be the Nigeria we accept. Our independence must ultimately mean freedom from fear, injustice, intolerance and abuse of power. Nigeria must belong to all of us. -PO

Press Statement: PURPORTED EFCC ACTION AT THE NDC GOVERNORSHIP CAMPAIGN OFFICE IN UYO — A DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO DISTRACT THE UNSTOPPABLE "BABANTAN" MOVEMENT The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Campaign Organisation wishes to address the recent reports and politically motivated grandstanding involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at our Governorship Campaign Office in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. We categorically state that any attempts by state actors, political detractors, or desperate opponents to use federal law enforcement agencies as weapons of political intimidation against our principal, Rt. Hon. Dr. Michael Enyong, popularly known as "Babantan", will fail. The "Babantan" movement is a grassroots campaign built on the yearning of the good people of Akwa Ibom State for authentic leadership, economic liberation, and an end to poverty. It is not a campaign housed inside bricks and mortar, and it cannot be locked down by arbitrary seals or politically manufactured controversies. The leadership of the NDC and the Babantan Campaign Team clarify the following points to our teaming supporters and the general public: 1. Unshaken Legitimacy: Rt. Hon. Dr. Michael Enyong remains the duly cleared, confirmed, and official NDC Governorship Candidate for Akwa Ibom State. Our structures are fully intact, operational, and growing stronger across all local government areas. 2. Cooperation with Law Enforcement: While we maintain absolute respect for due process and federal institutions, we urge the EFCC to remain neutral and reject being used as a tool for administrative harassment by political elements who are visibly panicked by Babantan’s overwhelming popularity. 3. The Campaign Continues: No amount of orchestrated distractions will slow down our momentum. Our consultative engagements, strategic operations, and grassroots mobilizations continue at full capacity across the state. We urge the wonderful citizens of Akwa Ibom State, party faithful, and volunteers to remain completely calm, law-abiding, and focused on the ultimate goal. This latest desperate hurdle is clear proof that the opposition camp is in severe panic over the new dawn that the NDC represents. The Lion of Akwa Ibom politics has been cleared; the process is complete, and no administrative malice can seal the will of the people. NDC: Service to the People! Signed, Director of Media and Publicity, Babantan Governorship Campaign Organisation Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Akwa Ibom State Chapter 1st October, 2026

What we saw in Ramin Kura is not an isolated story. It is a reflection of the suffering experienced, in different forms, across many parts of Nigeria. And yet, while ordinary Nigerians struggle with these realities, this present government often behaves as though these problems belong to another country. The political leaders, have failed our country and, most importantly, we have failed our children. This must change. My message today is not one of despair. It is a message of hope, determination and responsibility. I dare to proclaim with full assurance that a new Nigeria is possible. As President of Nigeria, I will make governance measurable, accountable and centred on the welfare and productivity of our people. Within the first year, Nigerians will begin to see the tangible impact of purposeful and effective leadership. We will confront insecurity decisively so that our farmers can return to their farms, our children can return to school, businesses can operate freely, and families can live without fear. No Nigerian should be forced to live in an IDP camp because his or her government has failed to provide security. My administration will work to ensure that Nigerians displaced by insecurity can begin to return safely and with dignity to their communities. We will move from a consumption-driven economy to a productive economy, one that creates jobs, expands opportunities, supports agriculture and manufacturing, invests in human capital, and makes Nigeria a country where young people can build meaningful lives. We will prioritise education, healthcare, security and productive enterprise because these are not luxuries. They are the foundations of a functioning nation. As I have always done, I will lead by example. In four years as President of this great nation, I will not spend my holidays outside Nigeria. My holidays will be spent in Zamfara State; Borno State; Kwara State; Ebonyi State; Edo State; Ekiti State and other Nigerian States. I want to continue to see Nigeria. I want to know Nigeria. I want to spend time with Nigerians, listen to them, understand their challenges and celebrate their resilience. We will build a Nigeria that is secure, united and productive; a Nigeria governed with competence, accountability and justice; a Nigeria where no child is denied education because of untold poverty or unbearable insecurity; where no mother dies because she cannot access basic healthcare; where farmers can return safely to their farms; where young people can find opportunities to work and prosper; and where public resources are deployed strictly for the public good. We will build a Nigeria that our children and future generations will be proud to inherit, a Nigeria where unity, peace, justice and prosperity are not merely words in speeches, but lived realities for our people. On this sixty-sixth Independence Anniversary, let us look back with gratitude, look around us with honesty, and look forward with courage. The Nigeria we desire will not be built by prayers alone, nor by promises alone. It will be built by leadership that understands that public office is a sacred trust, by citizens who demand accountability, and by all of us who refuse to accept failure as our destiny. It is time to build the new and productive Nigeria that is possible. May God Almighty bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. -PO
