Texas GOP candidate Eric Flores is predicting a "red tidal wave" in a South Texas district that has been a Democratic stronghold for decades — and he says Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico's rapid flip-flops on gender ideology and his "God is non-binary" comment are proof the party has no record to run on.
Flores, a U.S. Army veteran running in Texas Congressional District 34, ripped Talarico for walking back his most controversial positions in a Fox News interview last week, including suddenly coming out against gender surgery for minors and opposing biological men in women's sports.
"Those aren't provocative statements; those were statements that were made with intention, and that's showing who he truly is," Flores fired back. Trump won the district in 2024, and Flores says voters in the heavily Hispanic region are now asking the questions Democrats don't want to answer.
