Four panels across two stages shaped the afternoon at ETHTaipei 2026 Institution Day. Trust, Privacy, and Security framed the critical questions financial institutions face before adopting blockchain. Virtual Asset Legislation and Institutional Participation focused on the risks and opportunities surrounding institutional participation. Digital Asset Custody examined the custody needs of institutional participants. Private vs. Public Chains explored the key decision axes institutions face when choosing between blockchain models. Together, the sessions connected technology, operations, and regulation in the next phase of institutional adoption.

What could Crypto Island Taiwan look like by 2030? At ETHTaipei Institution Day, Jamie Lin @MrJamieLin, President of Taiwan Mobile, shared his vision for Taiwan to become a key node in the next generation of digital finance. As money moves onchain and assets become programmable, he highlighted opportunities in cross-border payments, supply chain finance, tokenization, and AI agent payments. The vision builds on Taiwan’s strengths in trade, finance, and technical talent.

New to tomorrow’s ETHTaipei Institution Day agenda, Ian Lin @ian_y_lin, Director of Product Management at @circle and product lead for Programmable Wallets, will present “Arc Overview: Real World Finance On Chain.” Ian works on wallet infrastructure that helps developers integrate digital asset storage and transactions into their applications. Circle describes Arc as an open Layer-1 blockchain built for the global internet economy. His session will provide an overview of Arc through the lens of real-world finance onchain. At ETHTaipei’s Institution Day, Changwu Chen @changwu_tw, Chief Scientist at @imTokenOfficial and a former Ethereum Foundation researcher, will present “What Ethereum Must Build for Global Finance.” His work spans Ethereum research, wallet infrastructure, and account abstraction. What happens when a prediction market pushes toward extreme probabilities? Eric Lee @Yang1127LI, Core Developer at SigMarket, is joining ETHTaipei 2026. In “Beyond x·y = k: Designing an AMM for Decentralized Prediction Markets,” Eric will explore why AMM assumptions inherited from spot trading start to break down in prediction markets, and how SigMarket V8 approaches liquidity and LP risk as probabilities move toward the extremes. Moderator Ivan Li @Ivantok4, Co-founder of TAAS and Founding Partner at Comma3 Ventures and Red Building Capital, works across early-stage crypto investing, treasury operations, and institutional digital asset infrastructure. Mason Lee, Regional Head for Taiwan at @BitGo, builds institutional partnerships across banks, securities firms, and virtual asset service providers. His background includes HSBC Dubai, DBS Taiwan, and Hex Trust. Jon Lin, Co-Head of Digital at KPMG Taiwan, advises financial institutions on virtual asset market entry, governance, and controls. He also works on stablecoin and custody standards, following several years leading digital transformation at Citi Commercial Banking. Stamford Hwang from Taishin Shin Kong Financial Holding has a background in electrical engineering, law, blockchain operations, and patent litigation, along with community, operational, and legal experience at AirSwap.
