Of all the print publications I have written for in my 40 years as a professional writer, the two where I did not have to censor myself at all were Creole Magazine of Lafayette, Louisiana under the redoubtable Ruth Foote, and the European Conservative, under Ellen and Mario Fantini. Any journalist will recognise what a God-given gift that is.

@hu_conservative was launched as a poor imitation of @EuroConMag — copying the design, the format, the captions, even poaching some of the same writers.  Any publication that starts with no vision of its own is always going to drift when the patronage changes.

Two weeks ago, YouTube suppressed video of our Vienna conference with @EuroConMag, @Harry_pitt, @RenaudCamus, and @MartinSellner_ on the grounds that it violated that website's rules against "hate speech." Today, we learned the real reason: successful lobbying on the part of an outfit calling itself the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism (GPAHE). globalextremism.org/post/fol… Don’t be fooled by the grand name: GPAHE is headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, and seems to have exactly two employees (though I suppose one cannot *entirely* exclude the possibility that its other staff are in hiding for “security reasons,” as the organization’s website would seem to suggest). This organization is just the latest vehicle of hate entrepreneur and SPLC stalwart Heidi Beirich, a woman now under federal indictment for illicitly transferring $1.2 million in donor funds to her live-in-lover, an actual neo-Nazi and sometimes SPLC informant. When they wish to police the frontiers of "respectable" discourse, it is obviously to such models of moral probity as Heidi Beirich that clown world's largest corporations turn. And that is at it should be, for it is in clown world that we live and we must obey its rules.

Jo and @oldspeak_books have been fantastic supporters of @EuroConMag. We hope someone will help her find a new home for this treasure of a shop!

The same day that Youtube takes down video of last March's Vienna conference, Instagram suppresses the Remigration Summit's account. Coincidence? Reminder: these are *American* companies, one owned by Google and the other by Meta.
