Here's a dingbat who thinks Australia is in NATO.
Getting out of NATO has been the obvious move for the USA for decades. One thing I am grateful to the EU, UK, Canada and Australia for: Giving the USA the perfect viable out that was needed to make it happen. By not even letting the U.S. use its own bases in these countries in the war with Iran, it has made withdrawing from NATO politically viable. And, no doubt in my mind, by the time Trump leaves office, the bases will be gone from these countries and the USA will be out of NATO. We’ll form new alliances, many candidates in eastern Europe and around these world, that we share common values with and can achieve the same strategic goals with.
