UKRAINE NOW HAS RUSSIA'S BEST DRONE Ukrainian specialists pulled apart a nearly intact Geran-4 Siker and found two GSM modems inside, carrying SIM cards from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and even EU countries, so the operator can track it live on ordinary mobile networks. The camera runs day, night and infrared with ten times optical zoom from eight kilometres up. A Chinese mesh modem relays video up to 300 kilometres and can bounce signal between drones. The onboard computer carries Texas Instruments chips. What is actually Russian in that drone is the body and the assembly. Everything that makes it work came from somewhere else. FERRY FIRE OFF MYKONOS, ALL 29 OFF SAFE The Blue Carrier 2 caught fire at 8:57 this morning north of Mykonos, in the number four garage, with 166 trucks and 29 cars aboard. Twenty eight crew and one lorry driver went into the lifeboats and were picked up by passing ships, then taken to Tinos. Five coast guard vessels, two fast fire boats, two tugs and a salvage tug from Piraeus are on scene. A lorry is being looked at as the source. Nobody was hurt. NETANYAHU SPOKE TO A HALF EMPTY HALL He flew in Thursday morning, spoke, and flew home the same day, with no meeting with Trump on the schedule and few leaders on his list. Trump was in Washington hosting Xi, and Israel is in its high holidays. The audience he wanted was never in that room anyway. Israel votes next month, and he defended the Iran war in plain terms: if we had not done it, we would all be dead. He was not talking to the delegates. He was talking to voters back home. A Z-BLOGGER TELLS RUSSIANS TO SHUT UP He is not wrong about the bills. Utility tariffs go up another fifteen percent on October first, the second rise this year, something Moscow last did in 2022. VAT climbs from twenty to twenty two percent. Days after the vote closed, the finance ministry proposed taxing bank interest and dividends at up to twenty two percent and charging a fee on parcels from abroad. They waited until the voting was done before they handed people the bill. That is not an election, that is a setup, and every Russian paying those bills just got played. NOW EVERYONE KNOWS

SUV DRIVER WHO HIT THE BUS PLEADS NOT GUILTY She came into the San Fernando courtroom on a gurney, bruised under both eyes, and stared at the ceiling for thirty minutes. Her voice was so garbled that Daniel Castillo's family, more than ten of them in the room, could not make out the plea and broke down when they were told outside. Two counts of second degree murder, bail set at $4.1 million, preliminary hearing November 2. Two men died on that street. She is pleading not guilty to both. NOW EVERYONE KNOWS

CNN CHOSE NOT TO COVER XI Nobody blocked them from that arrival. The five networks suspended pool duty themselves, so the cameras on the South Lawn belonged to outlets they have spent years dismissing as fringe. NETANYAHU LANDS FOR A SIX HOUR TRIP He flew in this morning, speaks at two o'clock New York time, and flies home the same day. No meeting with Trump, whose stay in the city never overlapped his, and the Rubio meeting was scrapped when Rubio went back to Washington for Xi. Last year seventy seven delegations walked out of the hall on him. Nine at night in Israel is the point. He is speaking to voters five weeks from an election.

IRAN WANTS THE BLOCKADE LIFTED FIRST Tehran's price for reopening Hormuz is that the blockade ends first, then they talk. That is not a negotiation, that is a demand. NOW EVERYONE KNOWS

DRUNK DRIVER TAKES OUT A MURFREESBORO HOME The camera catches him coming down Clark Boulevard into the S curve with no brakes until the last second. He hit a fence, then a parked car, and shoved both into the house. The front door was shattered and nobody inside was hurt. Police charged Marcus Smith, 55, with DUI and released him on a $1,500 bond. That curve has had sixteen crashes since 2021. Sixteen wrecks on one curve, and the city still has not fixed it. HURRICANE NOLO HEADED FOR THE BIG ISLAND Forecasters expect it to reach Category 3 by Saturday night and pass within about fifty miles of the Big Island's southern shore. Ten to fifteen inches of rain are likely there, up to thirty-five in the steep terrain, with five to ten on Maui. The Big Island is still recovering from Lala in August, which dropped more than forty inches and caused catastrophic flooding. Third close call for Hawaii this season, and the strongest yet. BOEING LANDS 111 PLANES Turkey and Bangladesh ordered 111 aircraft between them, with options for fifty more. Both countries came to Boeing while tariffs were sitting on the table. Both countries bought American planes to get their tariffs lowered. That is the tariffs working. NOW EVERYONE KNOWS

U.S. SENDS 16 MILLION ROUNDS TO LEBANON The American embassy in Beirut says the ammunition went to the Lebanese Army, part of more than $800 million in U.S. military assistance over the past six years. The army took delivery of seventy containers at Beirut Port on Sunday. Lebanon's government has tasked that same army with disarming Hezbollah, and Macron backed the same demand today. America is arming the only force in Lebanon that can take Hezbollah's weapons. NOW EVERYONE KNOWS

IRAN IS BETTING ON THE MIDTERMS Rubio says Tehran thinks a Democratic win in November ends the pressure. It doesn't. Trump is president until January 2029, and sanctions and military orders run through him as commander in chief, not through Congress. A new Congress can hold hearings and pass resolutions he can veto. The man giving the orders on Iran is the same man either way. Waiting on an American election is not a strategy. NOW EVERYONE KNOWS

MIAMI IS PLANNING CUBA'S FUTURE Wealthy Cuban exiles in Miami are drafting a Havana stock and commodities exchange, a provisional government, floating power stations and an eight billion dollar rebuild of eight Cuban airports. Jorge Mas, who owns Inter Miami, says Trump asked him what rebuilding Cuba would cost. A Miami Herald poll of 800 Cuban-Americans found four in five back direct military intervention. Sixty-seven years of waiting earns the right to plan. It doesn't hand anyone the island. NOW EVERYONE KNOWS

MELONI SKIPS THE UN The Italian prime minister is sitting out the General Assembly for the first time in about fifteen years, sending her foreign minister instead. She was the only European leader at Trump's inauguration in 2025, then Rome refused the U.S. use of Italian bases against Iran. Trump said in June she begged him for a photo at the G7 and he felt sorry for her. She called that made up. No photo, no visit. Some breakups just need a little distance. NOW EVERYONE KNOWS
